Callum Kane Art Therapy

What is Art Therapy?

Callum Kane Art Therapy in Northern Ireland uses oil pastels, acrylics, recycled items, natural textures, and sensory tools like kinetic sand to support mental wellness through expressive, hands-on art-making in a safe, creative space.

Art therapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses creative processes such as drawing, painting, collage, or sculpture as a way to explore thoughts, emotions, and personal experiences. Art psychotherapy offers a gentle, non-verbal way to process emotions and can be especially helpful when words are hard to find.

Sessions take place in a calm, confidential, and supportive space where you are encouraged to go at your own pace. Whether you’re experiencing anxiety, low mood, grief, trauma, simply feeling stuck or overwhelmed, art psychotherapy provides a safe environment to reconnect with yourself in a creative and meaningful way.

Art Therapy NI sessions with Callum Kane include tissue paper, foam sheets, clay, magazines, and fabric stuffing to inspire healing and creativity. Each session blends tactile and visual materials to support emotional expression and mental wellbeing.

How can Art Therapy help?

Art Therapy provides a safe and confidential place to share, explore, and make sense of feelings that can be difficult or confusing to put into words. You don’t need to be “good” at art to benefit from art psychotherapy. The focus is not on creating something perfect or polished. The focus is on your creative process, what emerges, how it feels, and what it might represent. It is suitable for people of all ages and abilities, and can support a wide range of emotional, psychological, and social needs.

Art therapy can help address a wide range of psychological, emotional, and physical challenges. This can include:
